How to turn off automatic Offline mode in Thunderbird
Thunderbird is a good email client, but one thing that annoyed me the most was when the internet is downed, then my lovely email client automatically switch to Offline mode. But forget to switch back.
So I stuck in that mode for a while, until I realized that why no mail coming in during that moment.
I dig into the tremendous amount of plug-in (yes, ironically speaking ^^) and found some plug-ins that would do the trick, but it’s not really work. So I looked for the other way.
In Thunderbird, go to menu Tools > Options…

When the Options box appear, click on Advanced tab and General tab. Then under Advanced Configuration group, click on Config Editor… button.

You will see the about:config box and some warning text just like in Firefox. Click on “I’ll be careful, I promise!” button.

Then in the Filter box, type in “offline.autoDetect” (without quote)

under the Value column, it would say “true”, right click and hit “Toggle” to change to “false”, then close the box.
